The Galaxy S7 has a 3000 mAh battery while the Galaxy S7 Edge is equipped with a 3600 mAh battery. Both batteries are non-removable but feature fast charging (wired and wireless). Mophie is a well-known accessories maker and its juice pack battery cases have a good reputation. The company has introduced its battery case lineup for the S7 and S7 Edge and they are Mophie’s first-ever wireless charging battery cases.
The new juice pack is compatible with Qi and other charging standards and this includes Samsung’s wireless charging pads. The latest Mophie additions offer around 60% of extra battery. For the Samsung Galaxy S7 this equates to an extra 11 hours of talk time, 4 hours of web browsing, 7 hours of video playback, or 28 hours of music playback. Meanwhile the Galaxy S7 Edge will benefit from an additional 13 hours of talk time, 5 hours of web browsing, 11 hours of video playback, or 40 hours of music playback.
The Mophie juice pack for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge maintain functionality with pass through buttons, as well as pass through sync and quick charge capabilities. The accessory is designed for edge-to-edge protection and uses the company’s Impact-Isolation System for extra cushioning on the corners and edges of the protective case.
The wireless charging battery case for both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will have a $99.95 price. Mophie hasn’t given details of exactly when the new juice packs will be available.
